A fun, healthy diet, and daily activities such as running, swimming, or riding a bike increases your cardiovascular health and self-esteem, and reduces obesity.
The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports says that carbohydrates give kids and adults energy. Fruits, vegetables, whole wheat breads, and grains such as oatmeal and wheat, provide a healthy, balanced diet.
Your body needs fat, protein, and carbohydrates so it is OK to have pizza and ice cream once in awhile, but try to eat smaller portions and balance what you eat. A good diet has a blend of many different kinds of foods.
