Crim 2010 Coming

CrimFit Youth Programs

The Crim Fitness Foundation feels a strong responsibility to help educate and train families of Genesee County regarding health and fitness and to inspire our children to make better nutritional choices and get active!

The CrimFit Youth Programs are our Community's response to confronting the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. The Programs were developed with every child in mind, no matter their fitness level or their economic status.  Before, during, and after school…in your neighborhoods and at community events…it's all about the children!

Crim Kids Classic

Beginning in May, the Crim season kicks off with the Crim Kids Classic.  A special day of fitness and fun just for the kids and their families!  A mini-Crim for  youth, hundred of parents and grandparents cheer the children across the finish line as they accept their medals for a race well run!  The rest of the day is spent with activities and attractions for every age starting with Applewood, the Sloan Museum, and the Flint Institute of Arts.

Summer Running Club

The Crim Summer Running Clubs keep kids active all summer long and gets them ready for the Kids Invitational  in August and is part of the Crim Festival of Races. If you or your child has participated in one of our Summer Running Clubs. 2009 Summer Running Club schedule is here. If you have any question you can contact Marti Austin at 810-235-3398 or Charlotte Paul at 810-235-6232.

Feelin' Good Mileage Club™

The Feelin' Good Mileage Club™ keeps kids connected to the Crim during the school year while making fitness a part of their everyday curriculum to enhance their overall well being.

The Crim Fitness Foundation is proud to announce by the end of 2008, the Crim Youth Programs has been integrated into every public elementary school in the City of Flint! This was made possible by a very generous grant from the Ruth Mott Foundation.

We are dedicated to making Flint and Genesee County healthier communities in which to live through education, motivation, and the creation of opportunities for our children to be physically active in a safe environment.
