Crim Kids Classic

Are all activities free?
Most pre-race activities are free. Admission is free for children at Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium. Food may be purchased from vendors.
Are strollers allowed on the race course?
Yes, except for the 1 mile event.
Can parents run with their children?
Yes. Restrictions for the parents running with children in the 1 mile event, must stay at the back of the group as race begins.
Do parents have to register and pay to run with their children?
No
How can I register my child?
Register on line or download an application at www.crim.org. Those without Internet access may contact the Crim office for an application
What are the ages for the event?
0-12 years
What is the distance of the Diaper Dash?
The Diaper Dash is held on a carpet of approximately 15-20 feet. This event is for babies who crawl or young children just learning to walk
What is the distance of the Toddler Trot?
Approximately 50 feet.

Crim Kids Invitational

Are awards given to participants?
All participants receive a finisher ribbon. Age and gender division awards are Given to those in the ¾ mile run.
Can other children participate?
Yes, for a nominal fee other children may register for this event.
Do the children get a race shirt?
Crim Kids/Teen Summer Running Club participants receive a club shirt. Others may purchase a shirt by pre-registering for the event.
How do I register my child?
Club participants will receive an application through their club leaders. Applications may be downloaded from the Crim website for non-club members.
What is the race distance?
There is a ½ mile Fun Run for ages 3- 18 and a ¾ mile competitive run for 6 -18.
What is this event?
The Crim Kids Invitational is primarily for children who have participated in a Crim Kid/Teen Summer Running Club.
Where and when is this event held?
The Invitational is held Friday evening before the Crim. Race check in and start Line are at the U of M Pavilion Rink on Saginaw Street.

Summer Running Clubs

How are club leaders chosen?
Club leaders are volunteers. Leaders are required to attend a training session. State Police background checks are conducted for each leader.
How do I register my child?
Registration takes place at the first club meet. Parents must complete and sign a registration form.
Is there a cost for my child to participate?
No
What are ages of the participants?
Clubs are for children between 3 and 18. Age restrictions vary by club. Children less than 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at each session. Consult the Crim website for specific ages at the club in your area.
When do the clubs start?
Clubs begin between middle June through early July. Club start dates vary by club.
Where do the clubs meet?
Consult the Crim website for locations, times, dates and days the clubs meet.

Can parents run with their children?
Yes
Can siblings of different ages run together?
Yes, the last "heat" of the race is for children of all ages.
How can I register my child?
Register online here or download an application here.
If running with my child, do I have to pay?
No
What are the ages of participants?
Ages 0-12. Young children may be in a stroller or wagon.

Finish line is the Official Crim Finish at Saginaw and Second Street
